ARTIDEE BATIK WAX 300 G 81111
A high-quality batik wax created in accordance with an old Javanese recipe consisting of Pisan honey wax and demara resin. Melted, this wax mix is slightly thixotropic (does not crumble), adheres perfectly to any type of fabrics and fibers without soaking into them and is water repellent. Creates clean and smooth lines as soon as it cools down. The wax can be washed off the fabric at any time with warm water without leaving stains or discoloration.
Technique: Contour lines are drawn on the fabric with the Pisan wax. As soon as it cools, the fabric is dyed with silk dye or textile. The surface covered with the wax remains uncolored, which creates a kind of pattern/design.
Instructions: Place the wax in a small bowl (batik wax bowl) and heat until melted. Then apply with the bowl, you can also use a brush or stamps. It melts at 65Β°C and has a transparent white color.
