Large printing presses with a printed table drive have a printing plate driven by a gear rack and pinion. It can also be moved simply by turning the drive wheel. In this case, the upper shaft does not exert pressure. This is a particular advantage for soft printed materials, such as corrugated cardboard plates and styrene plates. Otherwise, of course, all other printing techniques can be used, such as etchings, linocut, woodcut and gravure printing. The frame of the press is made of durable cast aluminum, and the upper and lower rollers are made of steel with a diameter of 80 mm. The height of the upper shaft can be adjusted using two adjusting screws. The swivel handles are designed so that enough pressure is easily achieved to create etchings. To reduce the counterconnection force, the drive shaft has a 2.4:1 reduction and acts directly on the drive gears on the lower shaft and the racks on the printed plate through an innovative double gear reduction system. The printed plate consists of a galvanized steel plate with a thickness of 2.5 mm with bolts, fastened slats and a plywood plate with a thickness of 15 mm. The printed plate is led by four ball bearings. A suitable printing felt is included. The printing power is approximately 1000 kg.
