Single color watercolor pastel from the Neocolor II series by Caran d’Ache – a company leader in the production of high-quality art materials, with the help of which drawings acquire incredible depth and realism.
Neocolor II crayons are water-soluble crayons with highly concentrated and saturated pigments. They write softer than dry colored pencils and denser than crayons. They are easily diluted with water, which resembles the effect of watercolor paints and can both give the drawing a dense and evenly saturated color, and, depending on the artist’s desire, create a shade or chiaroscuro, emphasizing a part or detail of the painting.
The water-soluble crayon “Neocolor II” could be successfully combined with other watercolor pastels or colored pencil pencils with similar shades of the same range, which would lead to a smooth transition and blending of colors and chiaroscuro, in order to achieve more contrasting, bright and vivid 3D paintings.
