Single colored watercolor pencil by Caran d’Ache from the Prismalo series of single watercolor pencils – one of the highest quality water-soluble pencils known on the market, with a high degree of solubility, coverage and light fastness.

The Prismalo water pencil is suitable for drawing on any type of paper. It has a soft and water-soluble core with a diameter of 3 mm., with bright and saturated dye pigments, and its hexagonal body, made of cedar, is encased in a color coating with the color of its graphite. It has a bright and light-resistant color. Thanks to its quality pigments, watercolor pencil  does not fade when it comes into contact with water, but on the contrary – it can both give the drawing a dense and evenly saturated color, and, depending on the artist’s desire, create a shade or chiaroscuro, emphasizing a part or detail of the painting.

The charcoal gray water pencil could be successfully combined with other water-soluble pencils with similar shades of the same color range, which would lead to a smooth transition and overflow of colors and chiaroscuro, in order to achieve more contrasting, bright and vivid 3d paintings.
