Acrylic retardant is an additive used when working with quick-drying acrylic paints, which increases their drying time.
Lefranc and Bourgeois’ acrylic retarder is water-based. It is mixed with the acrylic paints before they are applied to the surface designated for painting, thus ensuring their slower drying, which in turn gives artists and decorators more time to work with various techniques and effects.
