CADENCE THICKENING MEDIUM FOR EBRU – TRAGACANTH DRY
Ebru is a technique for painting on a water surface. The drawings are unique and inimitable and for this reason, a painting made with the Ebru technique cannot be repeated. Tragacanth is a thickening agent, thanks to which paints remain on the surface of the water. Cadence’s dry tragacanth is in powder form. How to use: prepare 5 liters of drinking water. Add 1 liter of boiled water to it in stages. Use about 1/5 of a package (45 ml) of dry tragacanth. Stir constantly. The container in which you pour must always be clean. You can filter with cheesecloth, which will ensure that no lumps get in. When stirring, you will get foam, which you can remove with paper. Let the finished mixture rest for about 1 hour. If the air temperature is suitable, the tragacanth can be used for 10-15 days, otherwise it deteriorates in 3-4 days. It is recommended to keep the mixture at room temperature. Available in a 45ml package.
