Desiccants are painting additives used to accelerate the drying of oil paints.
Lukas’ cobalt siquor contains a mixture of turpentine oil, cobalt oxide and mineral additives. It has a rich violet color, which, however, does not affect the color of the paints, but only the drying of the oil. The quick-drying medium should be used in minimal quantities, as its excessive use can cause both darkening of the colors and cracking of the layers.
The cobalt siquate “Lucas” is available in a glass bottle with a capacity of 125 ml. It is highly flammable, therefore it should be stored in a cool, dark place, in a tightly closed container.
